Firefighters respond to Chatsworth blaze, discover pot plants

CHATSWORTH - Firefighters put out a fire Sunday at a small commercial building in Chatsworth and discovered an indoor marijuana-growing operation.

Firefighters found a small blaze at the rear of 21250 Nordhoff St. at 11:45 a.m., and had it extinguished at 12:05 p.m., said Cecil Manresa of the Los Angeles City Fire Department. Firefighters asked for police to investigate a small marijuana cultivation operation discovered at the scene.
