Martinis and Popcorn: ?Hop,? ?Source Code? and ?Insidious?
Hollywood is releasing an array of genres in the theaters this weekend: Hop (animation), Source Code (thriller) and Insidious (horror), so it will really be a jelly bean choice of preference with Easter just around the corner!
Hence, the perfect timing for Hop starring Russell Brand?s voice as the Easter bunny?s rebellious son, E.B. who ? no surprise here ? wants to be a rockstar! Rather hilarious that Brand found a fitting roll in that of a fluffy, computer animated bunny who poops jelly beans. His wife, Katy Perry is E.T. and Brand is a bunny. All probably seems right in their world.
While Hop battles it out with last weekend?s #1 Diary of a Wimpy Kid 2: Roddick Rules, which kicked Vanessa Hudgens pretty little tough girl ass, Jake Gyllenhaal has been receiving favorable reviews for his action-thriller, Source Code. You might remember the repeated ?You have eight minutes?? line from the commercial, as Gyllenhaal is repeatedly given eight minutes by some military miracle to find the terrorist responsible for a Chicago train bombing. Here?s hoping Gyllenhaal has some topless scenes and we fall in love with him and his charm over and over again.
Lastly, for those who prefer the comatose possessed, Insidious is comparable to Paranormal Activity? but really, is any good horror flick rated PG-13? I will let you be the judge!
