Bristol Palin: Why I Went Under the Knife

Just as rumors of plastic surgery on her face started swirling, Bristol Palin has come forward to admit that she has in fact gone under the knife - but not for cosmetic reasons.

The "Dancing with the Stars" alum caused quite a stir after debuting her slimmed down figure and more angled jawline at an afterparty for the White House Correspondents Association dinner (April 30).

Deciding to address what everyone was thinking, the 20-year-old told Us Weekly, "It's not plastic surgery. I had corrective jaw surgery."

Bristol admitted, "Yes. It improved the way I look, but this surgery was necessary for medical reasons...so my jaw and teeth could properly realign...I don't obsess over my face," adding, "I am absolutely thrilled with the results. I look older, more mature, and don't have as much of a chubby little baby face!"
