Troubled actress Lindsay Lohan, 24, has begged Britney Spears to let her duet with her on stage.

So will Britney, who's touring with rapper Nicki Minaj in July and August, say yes to the bizarre request?

?She hasn't said no to Lindsay,' a friend tells Now.

?She knows Lindsay needs friends, especially famous ones, and that she's just looking for a chance to have fun on stage and surprise some of their mutual fans.'

If you don't remember Lindsay's attempt at a pop career in 2004, you're lucky.

Her album Speak got to No 4 in the US charts, but the follow-up A Little More Personal was less successful.

The pair briefly met up in 2006 when Lindsay joined Britney and Paris Hilton on a night out in Hollywood but they lost contact - until now.
