Fire damages Tarzana apartment

TARZANA - A fire damaged an apartment in Tarzana, but no one was hurt, authorities said.

Firefighters sent to the 5700 block of North Etiwanda Avenue at 1:12 p.m. doused the flames in 27 minutes, said Erik Scott of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The cause of the fire was under investigation. A damage estimate was not immediately available.
