Fergie: My weight makes me look pregnant

Fergie denied having breast implants and said to look at her mother and sister for proof.

Don't be so quick to assume Fergie's expecting if she starts packing on the pounds.

"I think people think that I'm pregnant sometimes because my weight fluctuates," she said in the July issue of Allure, telling the magazine there isn't a bun in the oven at the moment.

The 36-year-old Black Eyed Peas frontwoman shared the great lengths she goes to stay in shape and look her best ? cardio and resistance training, a meal-delivery service, deceiving makeup tricks, etc. ? but it doesn't always go as planned.

"My problem is my discipline. I see a Jack in the Box or a Del Taco, and I will impulsively want it," she admitted. "I'm a work in progress in that area."

But, contrary to recent rumors, she hasn't had any professional work done. Fergie dismissed the speculation that surfaced after an appearance on "American Idol" earlier this year sparked rumors of plastic surgery.

"I did two major drastic things, which is hair to the side ? it was the first time ? and the big neon lip," she recalled. "I wanted to try something different, and all of a sudden it was this big backlash."

"People were saying, 'It's a fake Fergie.' I mean, I heard about some ridiculous amount of money that I spent on my face, which I think is absolutely insane," she said.

Perhaps the only thing crazier is that the hardworking performer is finally taking a break to focus on domestic life with her husband of two years, actor Josh Duhamel.

"I've definitely committed some time this year to the Peas, but not as [much as] I have in previous years," Fergie said. "I need balance in my life, and the guys understand that."

The singer pointed out that her bandmate, Will.i.am, never "wants a break," and that's one of the ways they are different.

"You have to know yourself," she said, "and you have to know what your limits and boundaries are."

Fergie herself didn't used to. She's talked in the past about having a crystal meth addiction, but her worst vice these days is her potty mouth.

"I've actually apologized to moms at some of my concerts," she told Allure. "I started feeling guilty because I see these moms there with these cute little girls with tiaras on their heads, and I was landing F-bombs."

Noting that she's "obviously married" so she doesn't "sleep around," Fergie acknowledged that she's "tamed [her] ways a little bit."

Still, Fergie said she remains "young at heart" and is "trying to age gracefully."

"Balance is the key for me ? having time for yourself, time to read fashion magazines and just really indulge," she explained. "My goal in life is to be happy."
