We Want A ?Wet Hot American Summer? Sequel!

Get ready to hump your refridgerators, because there?s talk of a Wet Hot American Summer sequel. Co-stars of the 2001 cult classic Paul Rudd, Elizabeth Banks, Janeane Garofalo, David Hyde Pierce and Christopher Meloni all told Entertainment Weekly that they?d be totally down for it. ?It?s been discussed over the last decade in various forms and incarnations,? Rudd told EW. ?I think we would all be up for doing it.? Would Meloni do it? ?Oh, f? yeah, in a heartbeat,? he said.

The film, which cost $1.8 million to make, only grossed $300,000 when it opened ten years ago and was considered a box office flop. However, over the years its popularity grew and most of today?s big names were a part of the ensemble cast including Bradley Cooper and Amy Poehler.

The only concern (besides actually green-lighting the film) is salary. While Banks said she?d do it for pretty much nothing, we can?t expect that every one of the original cast members would return for the sake of a reunion. We can only hope that even though they?re all now kind of a big deal, the counselors from Camp Firewood will remember that they made it their beeswax to come to a decision by 9:30 this August. I have it in my trapper-keeper if anyone forgot.

Poehler, Rudd and Cooper fondled each other?s sweaters hugged one another at the Bloomberg & Vanity Fair cocktail reception following the 2011 White House Correspondents? Association Dinner April 30th in Washington, D.C.
