Start the day with eggs

Have a couple of poached, boiled or scrambled eggs for breakfast and lose up to two-thirds more weight. Eggs release energy slowly and make you feel fuller for longer.

Susie says� ?Eggs work but if you're constipated they can block you up even more. Porridge is a good alternative.'

Slimmers can lose an average 5lb extra if they drink two glasses of water three times a day before meals.

Water makes you feel full, so you eat less.

Susie says ?Water does make you feel fuller but it goes through the stomach quickly, which can induce hunger pangs. Try salad with chickpeas or soup instead.'

No carbs before Marbs!

The girls ditched bread, pasta and chips a month before going on holiday to Marbella to get a flat tum.

Susie says� ?There's no need to ditch all carbs; you may risk loss of energy and vitamin deficiency. Eat "good" carbs and you can still have a flat tum.'

Susie says ?I like this one. All of these spices add flavour and have an impact on detoxification and metabolism and some, like chilli powder, increase fat burning.'

Dump the dough and opt for the latest lunch trend: a lettuce boat sarnie.

Waitrose has launched a range of breadless butties and, at 125 calories a pop, it's a tasty way of cutting out the carbs.

Susie says� ?Cutting out bread is good because it can lead to bloating, but make sure you still include complex carbohydrates such as brown rice, lentils, pulses or quinoa in your diet.'

Munch on strawberries

These little red fruits can help you lose weight by suppressing your appetite, stimulating your metabolism and controlling your blood sugar.

Susie says� ?There are only 49 calories in one cup of strawberries and they're packed full of vitamins,

but they're also high in sugar and one of the points of dieting is to curb your sweet tooth, so eat them in moderation.

Snacking on fruit is always a great idea, though.'
