Mel Gibson's Court Appearance

Arriving to fulfill his mandatory court appearance, Mel Gibson was spotted walking into the Airport Courthouse in Los Angeles, CA on Friday afternoon (March 11).

The ?What Women Want? actor plead no contest to the misdemeanor battery charge he received earlier in the day for ?willfully and ulawfully? using force and violence against former fling and baby mama, Oksana Grigorieva.

According to TMZ, ?Mel entered what's called a "West Plea" meaning he is allowed to maintain his innocence.

Under the plea agreement, Gibson will not serve any jail time, but must perform 16 hours of community service with a philanthropic organization, Mending Kids, and undergo 52 weeks of counseling - he's been seeing a counselor since January but will not get credit for the accrued time.
