Jamie Lomas and Kym Marsh are looking foward to the future together

Coronation Street actress Kym Marsh is delighted with her baby daughter's progress.

Little Polly Lomas - Kym's first child with fianc� Jamie Lomas - was born 5 weeks early in March, and has only recently been allowed home from hospital.

'It's been a rough journey,' says Kym, 34.

'But [Jamie and I have] ridden it out together and I think that says something about our relationship.'

Polly's safe arrival was a huge relief to the couple after their premature son Archie died in 2009, moments after he was born at 21 weeks.

Diagnosed with an incompetent cervix, the Coronation Street actress was carefully monitored during her pregnancy with Polly and things are finally looking up for the family, who visited Walton Hall Gardens in Cheshire last week.

'It was a lovely day so we went to a farm shop nearby for lunch,' says Kym.

'It was so great to get out with Polly after all the worry, and she loves being out and about.

'I'm always giving her loads of kisses!'
