Will Cheryl Cole Appear On US X Factor After All?

A couple of weeks ago we learned the somewhat shocking news that British popstar Cheryl Cole was axed from the US version of the singing competition series The X Factor reportedly due to the fact that producers feared that the US audience would not be able to understand her thick British accent. It has been widely reported that US popstar Nicole Scherzinger would replace Cheryl as a judge on the show. Today we learn that Cheryl might not be leaving the show after all. It turns out that Cole?s contract stipulates that she must be paid $1.5 million whether she appears on the show or not so now we are hearing that producers might keep her on the show just to get their money?s worth.

In her continuing drama with the producers of The X Factor, it appears that British pop star Cheryl Cole may yet be headed to the U.S. ? TMZ reports that she was owed $1.5 million in her contract for the U.S. season regardless of whether she appeared on the show, and she wanted to be paid the agreed-upon amount as well as a separate fee for performing in the British show.
